Gowerton Golf Range was opened in 1991. Even though the popularity of the sport has grown since then, the facilities at the range have grown with it. When the Bromham family decided to build the business, they felt it was important that the location was not only acceptable, but also situated at a place of natural beauty. As a result of this, a 20 bay golf driving range was built in Gowerton, just on the edge of the beautiful Gower Peninsular, near Swansea. One year later a further 8 bays were added along with a 9 hole par 3 golf course, a children’s play area, and larger car park. Three years later due to popular demand a new diner restaurant was built, along with a coarse fishing lake to add to the attractions.

When the range was around, it consists of 20 undercover, carpeted bays, along with 8 outdoor bays. All are floodlit for use after dark. The range can be used in all weather, and almost any conditions. To use the range is simple, a machine dispenses 70 purpose made golf balls, and you can purchase as many as you can hit. Beginners through to professionals use the range, and as the Professional Golfing Association have approved us, the range is also visited by touring professionals. Children are also welcome to use the range, but an adult must accompany under 12’s. There is even disabled access to the range.

As the golf range is visited by over 70’000 people every year when it was opened, we felt it necessary to offer additional facilities. Due to public demand, 1998 saw the completion of the new one and a half acre coarse fishing lake. Man made, and constructed to the highest standards, the lake has now taken on an identity all on its own! The lake is over 10 feet deep and is well stocked with carp to 21 lb, and a large selection of Rudd, Roach, Bream, and Perch. The lake is open to the general public, but there is a club for those looking for reduced prices along with away days, and special offers. There is disabled access to the lake and there are 30 large platforms to fish from.
